She is only 14 years old and in delicate condition. She is the daughter of Joseph Harr. June 4, 1887 Marrie Harr sued Clement V Ward of seduction. He is a married man and she is 14 years of age. June 6, 1887 In the case of Maggie Harr vs Clement V Ward, he was found guilty of bastardy. July 19, 1887 Clement V Ward now languishes behind bars at the county jail. The cause: refusal to pay judgement of the court case of Maggie Harr, 14 years of age. The jury found him guilty. March, 1929 Clement A Ward, aged 66 years, passed away Tuesday morning after an extended illness of paralysis. Mr Ward was a resident of Westville but for the past eight or ten months has made his home with his son, Albert Ward, in Springfield. He was a member of Magrew Lodge No 433, Knights of Pythias of Westville, OH, and Mad River Council No 56 Jr OUAM, of Urbana. Surviving are his widow, Mrs Annie Ward; two sons, Albert E at whose home he died, and Wilbur P Ward of Oakland, CA; seven brothers, Franklin of Urbana, Charles H of Clark Co, OH, Oren H of Paxton, IL, Sylvan of Grove City, PA, and Noah Smith and Thomas Ward, all of Westville and one grandson, Wilbur P ward, Jr of Oakland, CA. Funeral services will be held from the Westville Methodist Church, this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30 pm, in charge of Rev Harry Lyons. Burial will be made in the Nettle Creek Cemetery. Champaign Democrat - March 29, 1929 Brief services were conducted at the residence for Clement V Ward of Westville who died Tuesday at the home of his son Albert Ward. He had been ill for some time and had been living with his son. Following the service in Springfield the body was taken to the Methodist Church in Westville. Burial was made in the cemetery at Nettle Creek. RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT IN MEMORY OF-Brother CV Ward, who died March 26, 1929; Once again the supreme Chancellor of the Universe hath summoned through death a Brother Knight, from the labors of the Castle here to the joys of the beautiful Castle in the New Jerusalem. He has completed his labors of Friendship in helping his fellow brother; of Charity in relieving the cries of the distressed, and of Benevolence in ministering at the bedside of the sick. As a recompense of his service under the tri-colored banner, he has received the plaudit, "well done" from the Great Father. And Whereas, the all-wise and merciful Father has called our beloved and respected Brother home; and he having been a true and faithful member of our Mystic Order, therefore be it.
