Born August 8, 1920, in Robbinsville, NC, daughter of Donald Wilson "Wilse" Moody and Fannie (Stewart) Moody; wife of the late James Randall Suggs (married December 31, 1938 - passed away December 16, 2010). Worked as a cook in a logging camp before she and James moved from Hildebran, NC in 1953 to the local area. Born August 8, 1920, in Robbinsville, NC, daughter of Donald Wilson "Wilse" Moody and Fannie (Stewart) Moody; wife of the late James Randall Suggs (married December 31, 1938 - passed away December 16, 2010). A homemaker and a member of Robert Gray Baptist Church; enjoyed Southern cooking, sewing, gardening, traveling, fishing, and camping. Viola was a generous and caring person who loved her family dearly. Survived by daughters, Betty Settle (Earl), Shirley Simpson (Adam), Mary Ann Rathvon (Dick), and Francis McBride; sons, David Suggs (Lee) and Ron Suggs (Debbie); a sister, Wanda Moody Starnes; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also preceded in death by a son, Betty's twin, Donald Suggs at birth; son-in-law, Mike McBride; and five siblings. A Celebration of Life was held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, June 28, 2016, Tuesday at Robert Gray Baptist Church, Longview, WA; officiated by Viola's grandson, Jerry Casey. A potluck fellowship followed. Viewing is planned from 9:00 - 10:00 am at Cascade Northwest Funeral Chapel at Green Hills Memorial Gardens & Crematory, Kelso, prior to the celebration of life. Memorial contributions could be made to the Robert Gray Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Fund.
