Description	:	Cleta Grace Cocherell, 82, of Farmington died at 3:55 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, at her home. Born Aug. 30, 1929, in LaCrew, she was the daughter of Nate and Blanche Butrich Nelson. On July 2, 1947, she married Billy Joe Cocherell in Farmington. Mrs. Cocherell worked at Sheaffer Pen in Fort Madison, she bunched plants for Rider Nursey and also helped out at Bill's Tire Repair. She was a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church, the Farmington United Methodist Church Women, the Donnellson American Legion Auxiliary, the Cemetery Association and a past member of the Homemakers' Club. She... Read More	Cleta Grace Cocherell, 82, of Farmington died at 3:55 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, at her home. Born Aug. 30, 1929, in LaCrew, she was the daughter of Nate and Blanche Butrich Nelson. On July 2, 1947, she married Billy Joe Cocherell in Farmington. Mrs. Cocherell worked at Sheaffer Pen in Fort Madison, she bunched plants for Rider Nursey and also helped out at Bill's Tire Repair. She was a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church, the Farmington United Methodist Church Women, the Donnellson American Legion Auxiliary, the Cemetery Association and a past member of the Homemakers' Club. She enjoyed car rides to see how many deer she could view, watching hummingbirds, Mother's Day trips to Tama with her daughter and visiting with her son when he would return from long over-the-road jobs. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Cathy Cocherell of Farmington; one son, Danny Cocherell of Farmington; two sisters, Agnes Schiller of Fort Madison and Ilene Sauer of Washington state; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and two nephews. Cremation has been accorded. There will be no visitation or service. She will be buried in the Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington. A memorial has been established for Farmington United Methodist Women. Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Farmington is assisting the family with the arrangements.
