Clifford Allen Gifford was born on June 3, 1925, in Marshall County, Iowa, the son of John and Marrit Gifford. After graduating from Liscomb High School, he entered the Army Air Corps in August 1943 where he flew the B25J Bomber. He was honorably discharged in November 1945. Clifford Allen Gifford was born on June 3, 1925, in Marshall County, Iowa, the son of John and Marrit Gifford. After graduating from Liscomb High School, he entered the Army Air Corps in August 1943 where he flew the B25J Bomber. He was honorably discharged in November 1945. He and Viola Hobson Gifford were the parents of three daughters. Clifford returned to Liscomb and farmed for over 40 years until he retired. He was a member of the Liscomb Church of Christ as well as the American Legion receiving a certificate for 70 years of continuous membership on March 15, 2016. Clifford is survived by his daughters, Linda (Roger) Lawson of Springfield, Illinois, Becky Schnicker of San Antonio, Texas, and Debra Gifford of Comfort, Texas; five grandchildren, William Lyon, Michelle Wright, Natalie VanKanegan, Adam Schnicker, and Justyn Huckleberry; and four great-grandchildren.
