Clifford Hostler, appliance dealer in Tipton for many years, and a veteran of the famous Rainbow Division in World War I, died last sunday in Veterans hospital, Iowa City. He had suffered a severe heart attack before being taken to the hospital. Surviving are his wife, also a daughter, Mrs. John Bails, of Cedar Rapids, and a son Larry Hostler of Tipton. Hostler was born May 17, 1898, Tauton, Missouri, and died suddenly Sunday, November 29, 1929, Iowa City, Iowa, at the age of 61 years, 6 months, 12 days. "Cliff" as he was familiarly known to his host of friends, was of cheerful and friendly nature. He was a good husband and father, a kind neighbor and a loyal good friend. He had not been in good health.
