Clifford was born on January 13, 1940, in Chariton, the son of Roy and Engeline (Raveling) Amos. He joined the United States Air Force on February 5, 1957. On March 7, 1959, he was united in marriage to Nydia Torres in Puerto Rico, she preceded him in death on April 6, 2001. Pleasant and formerly of Chariton passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 at his home in Mt. Pleasant. Clifford was born on January 13, 1940, in Chariton, the son of Roy and Engeline (Raveling) Amos. He joined the United States Air Force on February 5, 1957. On March 7, 1959, he was united in marriage to Nydia Torres in Puerto Rico, she preceded him in death on April 6, 2001. Clifford was honorable discharged on February 5, 1963 after serving in the 72 D Bombardment Wing in Puerto Rico. After the service he was a professional baker for 12 years. He drove a school bus for Mt. Pleasant Community Schools and Fairfield Community Schools. On August 3, 2001, he was united in marriage to Linda Greenfield. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad as a section worker and track inspector for 30 years retiring in 2003. Clifford enjoyed his ice cream, cookies, playing cribbage and most of all his family. Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Nydia and one brother, Fred Amos.
