He later married Thelma Rogers on September 12, 1959, in Lancaster, Missouri. --------------- Obituary From "Ottumwa Courier," May 31, 1971: Clifford Eugene Finley, 58, of Plano, died Sunday at 8:01 p.m. at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. He was born in Wapello County on Dec. 9, 1912, the son of Burl and Sarah Postlewait Finley. He is a veteran of World War II. He was married to Thelma Barker on Sept. 12, 1959 in Lancaster, Mo. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Pat Finley of Des Moines, Fred Finley of Newton, and David Finley of the Air Force in Texas; one brother, Lewis Finley of Ottumwa; two sisters, Virginia Woollums and Marian Kirkendall, both of Ottumwa; nine grandchildren; and four stepsons, Fred, Bill, Paul, and Mark Rogers. He was preceded in death by one sister. Funeral services will be 1:30 Wednesday at Jay Funeral Home with Elbert Matthew of the Bible Chapel officiating. Burial will be in the Shaul Cemetery.
