Adams st., a life resident of Homer area died unexpectedly at Sheldon Memorial hospital in Albion at 7:15 p.m. Thursday. Born Dec. 6, 1889 in Homer township, the son of George W. and Viola (Webster) Hepler, he was married to Hilda Spencer in Litchfield Feb. 21, 1911. She preceded him in death, Dec. 23, 1928. On Jun 8, 1942 he was married to Mrs. Alta Spindler in Homer. For 25 years he was employed by the Calhoun County road commission retiring in 1960. He attended the First Presbyterian church. He is survived by his widow, Alta, four sons, Russell S. of Bronson, Gerald E., of Quincy, Edward G., and Howard J., both of Albion; five step-daughters, Mrs. Russell (Hope) Hepler of Bronson; Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Daniels, Parma; Mrs. Peggy Trall, Hawaii; Mrs. A..a (Wallace), Albion; Mrs. John (Nancy) Bigelow of Ottis[sic] Air Force Base in Massachusetts, 20 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a half brother, John Gordon Hepler, of Pulaski. Funeral Services HEPLER, CLIFFORD J. Homer, Mich. Funeral services for Clifford J. Hepler, Homer, who died Friday night at an Albion hospital will be held from the Westbrook-Tidd funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. B. L. Helmke of the First Presbyterian church officiating.
