Description	:	Clifford Sexson, 91, of Grant, passed away April 26, 2014, at the Golden Ours Convalescent Home. He was born on Sept. 15, 1922, at Goodland, Kan., to Milton an Maude Bowen Sexson. He graduated from Goodland High School in 1941. Cliff enlisted in the United States Navy in 1942 during World War II and served in the Pacific theater until his discharge in 1945. Read More	Clifford Sexson, 91, of Grant, passed away April 26, 2014, at the Golden Ours Convalescent Home. He was born on Sept. 15, 1922, at Goodland, Kan., to Milton an Maude Bowen Sexson. He graduated from Goodland High School in 1941. Cliff enlisted in the United States Navy in 1942 during World War II and served in the Pacific theater until his discharge in 1945. It was during his time in the service that he married Yvonne Juhl of St. Francis, Kan., in New York City on July 23, 1943. After his discharge, the family lived in St. Francis until 1952 when they moved to Boulder where Cliff worked for Dow Chemical for 19 years. They later lived in Keystone, S.D., the Nebraska Sandhills, St. Francis and Broken Bow before retiring to Grant in 1998. Cliff was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. He always had a strong interest in the Lions Club and was active in the Grant First Congregational Church. He is survived by his wife of more than 70 years, Yvonne; one daughter, Sherryl (Kenneth) Ketter, of Kanorado, Kan.; two sons, David (Melanie) Sexson, of rural Gordon, and Milt (Laura) Sexson, of Ogallala; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Gertrude Smith, of Chico Calif.; and one brother, Vernon Sexson, of Grant. Services will be at 2 p.m. (MDT) on Saturday, May 2, at the Grant First Congregational Church with Pastor Larry Booth officiating. A private family inurnment will be at the Grant Cemetery with a military tribute and flag presentation by area veterans. Bullock-Long Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
