Clifton, 61, of Kountze, Texas, entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. He was born on May 23, 1957 in Lompoc, California to the union of Clifton Droddy, Sr. and Mildred (Willis) Droddy. Clifton was a graduate of Plainview High School. He was a Southern Baptist by faith. Clifton had a love for hog hunting. He was a true outdoorsman and cattleman. Clifton enjoyed his career as a lineman contractor. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Droddy, Sr. and Mildred (Willis) Droddy. Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his loving wife of 38 years, Caryn (Cross) Droddy of Kountze, Texas; two daughters, Ashly Strother (Jeffrey) of Elizabeth and Kelli Villali (David) of Sulphur; one son, Matthew Droddy (Kaylie) of Kountze; two brothers, Tim Droddy (Terri) of Lumberton, Texas and Ephraim Droddy of Pitkin; five grandchildren: Noah Villali, Emeri Strother, London Villali, Kyndall Villali, and Berklee Strother; along with a host of family and friends. Pallbearers to serve will be: Matthew Droddy, Kyle Willis, Eric Willis, David Villali, Jeffrey Strother, Danny Hutchison, Trent Gill, and Barry Dousay. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Rodney Thompson and Tootie Paul. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service, Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in the Shady Grove Baptist Church.
