Description	:	U.S. NAVY Clinton Arthur Barrs, 80, of Dakota City died Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dale Jirousek officiating. Private graveside services will be at a later date. Visitation with the family present will be noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Visitation with the family present will be noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Barrs was born May 18, 1922, in Rosalie, Neb., the son of Claude and Daisey M. (Twiford) Barrs. He graduated from Rosalie High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. He married Darlene G. Raabe on Jan. 10, 1948, in Vermillion, S.D. He was a member of American Legion Hansen-Greenleaf Post 376 of Dakota City. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, sports and following his grandchildren with their various activities. Survivors include his wife, Darlene; two sons, Ronney and his wife, Marsha, of Ponca, Neb., and Clinton D. of Dakota City; four daughters and their husbands, Holly and Jim Kelly of South Sioux City, Starla and Glenn Nelsen and Lori and Todd Nogelmeier, all of Homer, Neb., and Dana and Jerry Gugat of Sioux City; a brother, Bob of Table Rock, Neb.; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
