Description	:	Darlene Grace Barrs, 82, of Dakota City passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at a South Sioux City care center. Services will be 6 p.m. Thursday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Gilbreath officiating. Private family graveside services will be at a later date. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Darlene was born March 4, 1925, in Lyons, Neb., the daughter of John and Minnie (Abendroth) Raabe. She married Clinton A. Barrs on Jan. 10, 1948, in Vermillion, S.D. Survivors include two sons, Ronny and his wife, Marsha of Ponca, Neb., and Clinton D. of Dakota City; four daughters and their husbands, Holly and Jim Kelly of South Sioux City, Starla and Glenn Nelsen of Homer, Neb., Lori and Todd Nogelmeier of Homer and Dana and Jerry Gugat of McCook Lake, S.D.; two brothers, Dean Raabe of Fremont, Neb., and Johny Raabe of West Point, Neb.; two sisters, Joan Schlueter of Beemer, Neb., and Jean Dahlgren of Oakland, Neb.; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clinton on May 6, 2003, in Sioux City; and three brothers, Francis, her twin Donald and Robert Raabe.
