(Source: Platte County, NE Marriage Records) ================== The Columbus Telegram (Columbus, NE), Thursday, May 27, 1926; pg. 6 Clinton Stevenson, for many years a prominent Colfax county (sic) farmer residing 10 miles northeast of Columbus, passed away at 9:30 last night In the Lutheran sanitarium at Denver, Colo., which he entered three weeks ago for treatment for tuberculosis. His health had been falling rapidly for several months. Born in Ohio July 26, 1863 Mr. Stevnson (sic) was brought to Nebraska by his parents when he was only two years old, the family locating on a farm north of Richland. He made his home In the same community throughout his lire. He leaves his wife and six children - Mrs. G. DeBower, of Schuyler, and Ward, Ethel, Mildred, Charles and Donald Stevenson at home. H also leaves three brother William of Columbus; Burton, of Clarks, and Frank, of Richland. Funeral service will be held at the farm home at 1 noon Sunday and at Immanuel Lutheran church (sic) in Columbus at 1 p. m., Rev. Bergt, of Schuyler, officiating. Burial will be made In Columbus cemetery (sic) ================ The Columbus Telegram (Columbus, NE), Friday, May 28, 1926; pg. 6 Body Arrives From Denver - The body of Clinton Stevenson, prominent Colfax county (sic) farmer whose death occurred this week in the Lutheran sanitarium at Denver, arrived in Columbus on Union Pacific train No. 16 this afternoon and was taken to the family home 10 miles northeast of the city. Funeral services will be held at the home at noon Sunday, and at Immanuel Lutheran church (sic) in Columbus at 2 p.m., Rev. Bergt, of Schuyler, officiating. =============== The Columbus Telegram (Columbus, NE), Monday, May 31, 1926; pg. 6 Funeral services for Clinton Stevenson, Colfax county (sic) farmer, whose death occurred Wednesday evening In the Lutheran sanitarium at Denver, were held yesterday afternoon. Services were held at the farm home, 10 miles northeast of Columbus, at 12 p. m. and at the Immanuel Lutheran church (sic) in the city at 1 p. m., Rev. Bergt, of Schuyler, officiating. The church was filled to capacity by friends who gathered to attend the last rites. Burial was made In the Columbus cemetery (sic). The pallbearers were David Kluck, John King, Wm. Lambert, Earl Kluck, R.D. Smith and Ed Yonkie. Among the relatives here from out of town to attend the services were Burton Stevenson, of Clarks; Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Butler and Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Nelson, of Lincoln, and Claude Holstead and family, of Rogers.
