Description	:	Clinton Marlyn Carpenter, son of Samuel and Lenora Carpenter, was born at Hubbell, Thayer county (sic), Neb., March 23, 1910, and departed this life May 8, 1943, at Van Wert, Ia., at the age of 33 years, 1 month and 15 days. He grew to manhood in and around his birthplace and in March of 1943 moved with his parents to a farm near Welden, Ia., and in May went back to Munden. Read More	Clinton Marlyn Carpenter, son of Samuel and Lenora Carpenter, was born at Hubbell, Thayer county (sic), Neb., March 23, 1910, and departed this life May 8, 1943, at Van Wert, Ia., at the age of 33 years, 1 month and 15 days. He grew to manhood in and around his birthplace and in March of 1943 moved with his parents to a farm near Welden, Ia., and in May went back to Munden. He was united in marriage with Frances Dake on May 27, 1934, returning to Iowa to make their home. To this union were born two sons, Lindon Clarence, age 4, and Lester Wayne, 18 months. Clinton was a faithful and obedient son, devoted husband and loving father. He had been in failing health for the past four years, being confined to his bed for several weeks as a constant sufferer; yet he bore his suffering exceedingly patient, never murmuring but always willing to do anything which he thought might restore him to health. He leaves to mourn a devoted wife, who gave her all to ease the pain he bore to the very end, two small sons, father and mother, one sister Mrs. Beulah Huber of Alexandria, Neb., and two brothers, Vinton D., and Leland H., both of Weldon, Ia.; one nephew, Marlyn Francis Huber of Alexander, Neb.; one niece, Ruby Marie Carpenter of Weldon, Ia.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held in the Fairview church (sic) May 10, 1943, conducted by the Rev. Myrtle Wolfe Gasson. Interment was made in Green Bay cemetery (sic) near Weldon, Ia.
