Clinton was born September 16, 1923 at Holdrege, the fourth of five children born to Elmer and Minnie (Larson) Sundquist. Clinton received his primary education from the school District #26 in Phelps County and then graduated from Holdrege High School with the class of 1941. Clinton was born September 16, 1923 at Holdrege, the fourth of five children born to Elmer and Minnie (Larson) Sundquist. Clinton received his primary education from the school District #26 in Phelps County and then graduated from Holdrege High School with the class of 1941. Following his graduation, Clinton engaged in farming in the Holdrege, Atlanta and Ragan areas. Clinton was united in marriage to Dorothy Ann Petersen on June 14, 1947 and to this union three sons were born: Richard, Larry, and Ronald. The Sundquist's made their home on a farm northeast of Holdrege and then moved southeast of Atlanta until settling on a farm northwest of Ragan. Following retirement in November of 1984 Clinton and Dorothy moved into Holdrege, where they resided until their passing. Dorothy preceded Clinton in death on November 10, 1994. He enjoyed going to auto races and loved to read. Clinton was baptized and confirmed at the Fridhem Lutheran Church in Funk and later transferred his membership to the Bethel Lutheran Church. Besides his parents and wife, Dorothy, Clinton was preceded in death by brothers: Milford Sundquist and his wife, Bessie and Tannis Sundquist and his wife, Evelyn; and sister, Loretta at the age of five. Clinton survivors are: children: Richard Sundquist and his wife, Lynn of Holdrege, Larry Sundquist and his wife, Marllys of Funk, Nebraska, and Ronald Sundquist and his wife, Marlys of Holdrege; grandchildren: Mark Sundquist and his wife, Paula of Raymore, Missouri, Bob Sundquist and his wife, Joni of Lincoln, Jill Christo and her husband, Monte of Omaha, Nebraska, Elsa Barr and her husband, Jeremy of Juniata, Nebraska, Chris Sundquist and his wife, Jessica of Holdrege; step-grandchildren: Jody Lonn and her husband, Jerry of Minden, Nebraska and Melanie Reeves of Lincoln; several great-grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Sundquist of Kearney; sister-in-law, LaDonna Weismann and her husband, Max of Holdrege; brother-in-law, Donald Petersen and his wife, Grace of Holdrege and a host of relatives and friends. Burial was in the Prairie Home Cemetery, Holdrege, NE. Published in Kearney Hub on February 13, 2012
