KINCH Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, June 11, from the Holyoke Methodist church, for Clinton W. Kinch, 50, a resident of Holyoke, who passed away at a Denver hospital following an illness of several months duration. Rev. Louis A. Haruf, pastor of the church, was in charge of the services. Mr. Kinch was born in Holyoke on August 8, 1899. He was next to the oldest in a family of five children. His early years were spent in Holyoke. He also attended school in Kansas City, Missouri. He was married in 1930 and to this union one son, Clinton Leroy, was born. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge and the Lutheran church. He also became a member of the Holyoke Volunteer Fire department in 1934 and was elected its chief in 1940. During the war he moved to Denver and later to Vancouver, Washington where he was employed in a war plant. He was preceded in death by his father, James, and an older brother, Roy. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Edith Kinch, his son, Leroy, two brothers, Theodore and Harvey, and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Siedenberg, besides his many friends. Members of the fire department attended the funeral in a body, and pallbearers were Wilbur Burchett, Walter Lutze, Kayle Russell, Max Starbuck, Arthur Vollmer and D.D. Patrick. Interment was made in the Holyoke Memorial park. NOTE: Parents were James Leroy Kinch and Edith Rosanna Conklin. Date of Death was 10 Jun 1950.
