As winter's icy hand is laid on sturdy tree and tender flower bidding homage from all nature to his great power, so death has no dividing line but takes those for whom life's vistas are opening fair and bright no less than those for whom the coming of the somber monarch has lost all terror because for them has been fulfilled the allotted three score years and ten, and last evening at about 5 o'clock the spirit of Cloydis Snyder the five year old darling boy of Mr. and Mrs. J.K. Snyder took its flight to that better and happier world where sorrow and suffering is never known. The little fellow has been sick with typhoid fever for some time and for a time he seemed to rally and the fond parents had strong hopes for his recovery, but the best skill could not stay the hand of death, and little Cloyd is now no more. To enumerate the trouble and sickness that this heart-stricken family has been called upon to bear during the past six months is to depict a scene that seems almost beyond the vale of human endurance. Their little girl was first taken ill with pneumonia, and for a number of weeks her precious life seemed hovering between life and death. No sooner had she recovered than the serious illness of Mrs. Snyder's mother, whose death also occurred recently, called her to Wisconsin, where she and her children remained for several weeks, until she was called home again by the serious illness of George, with whom another siege of care and worry was had, only to be called upon again to care for little Cloyd, who next took ill with the above sad result. During all the storm Mrs. Snyder never wavered, but the task was too much for her and about two weeks ago she herself was taken ill and is now lying at death's door. The deepest and sincerest heartfelt sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Snyder in their sore trial, and prayers are offered for her recovery."
