Description	:	Clyde A. Breiner, 93, of Chanute passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center. Clyde was born in Erie, KS on August 25, 1918, the son of Henry and Ida (Friederich) Breiner. He graduated from Chanute High School in 1936. He married Frances Dietrich on August 19, 1940 in Chanute, KS. She preceded him in death on September 13, 1988. He served with the 712th Railroad Operating Battalion in World War II. Breiner, 93, of Chanute passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center. Clyde was born in Erie, KS on August 25, 1918, the son of Henry and Ida (Friederich) Breiner. He graduated from Chanute High School in 1936. He married Frances Dietrich on August 19, 1940 in Chanute, KS. She preceded him in death on September 13, 1988. He served with the 712th Railroad Operating Battalion in World War II. Clyde is survived by his two daughters; Betti Harris and husband Tom of Chanute, KS, and Brenda Jones and husband Mike of Branson West, MO; his grandchildren, Julie Lienard of Chanute, KS, Tom Harris, Jr. and his wife Amanda of Chanute, KS; six great-grandchildren, Chelsie, Ashley, and Myles Lienard, and Makensy, Bryana, and Emma Harris; one sister, Mary Robb and husband Kenneth of Tulsa, OK; one brother, Earl Breiner of California; and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Hugh (Eunice) Breiner of Chanute, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; two brothers, Oscar and Hugh Breiner; and one sister, Lola Daniels-Giertz. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Chanute. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends after the Rosary until 8:00 p.m. at the Parish Hall at St. Patrick Church. Memorials in his name may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or Cherry Street Youth Center and may be left with the funeral home. Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
