Description	:	Obituary: Clyde C. Carnes, age 53, a prominent auctioneer and farmer, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 8, 1976, at his home in Aurora, Nebraska. The son of Cecil R. Carnes and Anna (Reichardt) Carnes was born on October 16, 1922, south of Aurora, Nebr. He moved with his parents to Ansley, Nebraska in 1929. In 1934, they returned to Hamilton County to a farm in the vicinity of Kronborg, Nebr. They later moved to the Aurora community, where he resided until his death. Carnes, age 53, a prominent auctioneer and farmer, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 8, 1976, at his home in Aurora, Nebraska. The son of Cecil R. Carnes and Anna (Reichardt) Carnes was born on October 16, 1922, south of Aurora, Nebr. He moved with his parents to Ansley, Nebraska in 1929. In 1934, they returned to Hamilton County to a farm in the vicinity of Kronborg, Nebr. They later moved to the Aurora community, where he resided until his death. On June 10, 1943 he was united in marriage to Maxine Fenster. They made their home in Hamilton County, where he farmed and stared in the auction business in 1953, in which he was active until his death. In 1954, he started the Aurora Salesbarn. He also auctioneered in York, Kearney, Burwell, Arnold, Cedar Rapids, Wahoo, Hastings, Loup City and had been associated with the Third City Livestock Company of Grand Island for the past 16 years. He was a member of the State and National Auctioneers Association, Eagles Lodge No. 378 in Grand Island, The Saddle Club, the Aurora Country Club and the Aurora Chamber of Commerce. He was preceded in death by his father. Those who survive are his wife, Maxine; son, Kenneth C. Carnes and daughter, Mrs. Ron (Charlotte) Imus; his mother, Mrs. Anna Carnes all of Aurora; sisters, Mrs. Oren (Rosetta) Reisinger of Marquette and Mrs. Norman (Verla) Vanek of Grand Island; brother, Richard Carnes of Marquette; three grandchildren, Ronda and Cevin Imus and Kendra Carnes; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and many close friends and business associates.
