Mr. Edge was born in Spartanburg County, had spent most of his life in Greenville. Until his retirement, he was employed in the spinning department of American Spinning Co. His wife, Mrs. Etta Poole Edge died in 1946. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Vera Rector and Mrs. Ruby Mershon of Greenville; two sons, Clyde Edge, Jr. and Eddie Edge of Greenville; four sisters, Mrs. O. L. West of Chesnee, Mrs. Lee Boone of Bessemer City, Mrs. P.M. Lavendar of Spartanburg and Mrs. E.C.
