Mr. Edge was born and reared in this county. For many years he made his home in the Poplar Springs community. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hattie Edge; three sons, Fielder Edge of Laurens, Clyde Edge of Greenville, and Troy Edge of Poplar Springs; five daughters, Mrs. O.L. West, of Beaumont, Mrs. E.C. Thomas of Tucapau, Mrs. P.M. Lavender of Woodruff, Mrs. Lee Broom of Besmer City, NC, and Miss Maggie Edge of Spartanburg route, one sister, Mrs Maggie Crim of Moore, route 1; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at the Poplar Springs Baptist church at 4 o'clock this afternoon by the Rev. Carl O. Page and the Rev. C.B. Prince. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Willburn West, Leonard West, C.P. West, Winston Thomas, Leland Boyster and ElRoy Edge. The body was taken from the M.W. Bobo funeral chapel Monday night to the home of Mrs. O.L.
