Description	:	His was born and spent his early life in the Cortland, Nebraska area. He met Georgia Carrol "Carrol" Fischer they were married on 18 Aug 1942 in Los Vegas, Nevada. He enlisted in the United States Army and served during World War II. When World War II ended he was released from the army and returned to Adams. He was hired by Maurice Burnham and worked at all of the Burnham businesses, the chicken hatchery, the feed store, the farm and the turkey ranch all in the Adams, Nebraska area. He was hired by Maurice Burnham and worked at all of the Burnham businesses, the chicken hatchery, the feed store, the farm and the turkey ranch all in the Adams, Nebraska area. He bought the chicken hatchery when Maurice Burnham retired. He operated the hatchery until 1973 and closed it when farming in the community changed and raising chickens were no longer a part of the family farms in the area. The Nebraska Department of Roads was adding employees, he applied was hired and continued as their employee until retirement. He was a member of the the American Legion post 221 and VFW post 10042 in Adams, Gage County, Nebraska. He served as the troop committee chairman of the Adams Boy Scouts.
