He died at Prescott, Arizona on Sunday. January 24, 1982 at the age of 85 years. On June 14, 1926, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Marie Wall. To this union three daughters were born: Mrs. Walter Gaebler (Bonnie),0maha.Nebraska, Mrs. Robert Cappel (Wilma), Mason City,Iowa,and Mrs. Milton Lippincott (Carol). Enqlewood, Colorado. He served in the U. S. Army during World War I, then entered the grocery business in Oak until 1942 when he moved his business to Hardy. He later sold his business and became postmaster of Hardy until his retirement in 1971. He was affiliated with the National League of Postmasters & Association of Postmasters. He was a member in the American Legion, World War I Barracks, Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge, Royal Arch Masons, Knights Templar. Tehama Shrine. Hardy Community, Club Nuckolls County Historical Society, Superior Country Club and a charter member of the Elks Lodge in Superior. His love for music was a source of enjoyment throughout his life He was a member of the Union Church in Hardy & the Prescott Valley United Methodist Church In addition to his wife Dorothy and his three daughters, he is survived by his brother Carl of Superior, Nebraska; two sisters. Mary Gillett of Wahoo.Nebr., and Edith Dudley of Portland. Oregon, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren three sons-in-law and many relatives and friends.
