Passed away suddenly in Warner on Friday, Nov. 1, 1968, Colburn Bjerring, aged 67 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Vera Lien of Warner. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by two sons, Dean C. Lien of St. Albert, Alberta and Robert T. Lien of Warner; three granddaughters and one grandson; one sister and one brother both in Norway. He was predeceased by one brother. Born in Norway in 1901, the late Mr. Lien came to the Calgary district in 1922 and in 1931 moved to Warner, where he has farmed until his passing. He was a lifetime member of the Warner Elks, a member of the Warner Lions Club, chairman of the Rural Electrification Association, a member of the Warner Memorial Evangelical Church and was very prominent in many other farm organizations. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Warner Evangelical Church, with Rev. John D. Elhard officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot, Archmount Memorial Gardens at 3:45 p.m. Those who wish may donate to the Colburn B. Lien Scholarship Fund, care of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Warner. Martin Bros. Ltd., Directors of Funeral Service. -----------------
