The services were in charge of the Rev. E. A. Voss. Music for the service was furnished by Earl Rife and Mrs. Pittman, accompanied by Miss Nettie Lutz. Collin Forbes, the son of Millie and Frances Forbes, was born on a farm, in Louisa county, January 2, 1857, and died at the Washington hospital January 11, 1940 at the age of 83 years and nine days. April 19, 1877 he was united in marriage with Mrs. Sarah Alice Forbes, and to this union four children, were born, Birdie, Edna, an infant, and Luella, who became the wife of James Aubrecht. Mrs Forbes and all of the children, as well as a step-daughter, Mrs. Minnie Yocum, preceded Mr. Forbes in death. For the past several years Mr. Forbes has made his home with his grandson, Lloyd Aubrecht and family of Riverside. He had only recently been confined to his bed by the infirmities of old age. He is survived by one step-son, Charles Forbes, of Lone Tree; five grandchildren, Lloyd Aubrecht, of Riverside, Robert, Adolph, James and Cecil Aubrecht; a number of great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ s/o Millie Dyer Cook Forbes Hill born June 15, 1827 in Indiana and passed away April 13, 1898 in Iowa. Laid to rest with her 2nd husband, Francis Asbury Forbes; Forbes Cemetery, Louisa County, Iowa Collin Forbes married 19 April 1877, Louisa, Iowa to Sarah Alice Rife. Sarah Alice Rife 1st married to Zimeriah Emorl Forbes, brother to Collin Forbes.
