| Description | : | Collin P. Hucks served in Co. A, 26th Rgt. Inf., SC, CSA & was also a POW at Point Lookout Confederate Prison Camp, Maryland. He was captured April 1, 1865 at South Side Rail Road, & was released June 28, 1865. He then walked all the way back home to SC barefoot (a trek of more than 450 miles). The Yankee's took the Confederates shoes & forced them walk away with bare feet. He did make it home, got married & raised a large family on Hucks Road, Aynor, SC. He became a successful farmer...
