Henry Culler, a prominent resident of Frederick County, died at his home, Jefferson, this morning of heart failure, aged eighty-five years. For four years he was a member of Gov. Bowie's staff and held other important offices. During his life he built several churches and founded several schools. He married a Miss Warfield, sister of Col. Cost Johnson and William Cost Johnson. He is survived by one brother, William Culler, of Winchester, Virginia. (thank you Richard Culler) Henry Culler's funeral was reported in the Winchester Evening Star on March 11, 1902. FUNERAL OF COL. CULLER The funeral of Col. Henry Culler, formerly of Winchester, who died last Friday morning in Jefferson, MD, took place from his residence on Sunday morning at ten o’clock. Rev. Mr. Bush of the Lutheran Church in Jefferson officiated, assisted by Re. S. A. Hedges of Middletown and Rev. H. F. Dittmar of the Reformed Church at Jefferson. The pallbearers were Capt. Culler of Winchester, a brother of the deceased, Lloyd Miller, Wm. N. Shaff, L. O. Whipp, Joseph Crampton, and C. R. Hemp. Interment was made in the Lutheran Cemetery of Jefferson.
