She was raised and educated in Kenmare, graduating from Kenmare High School in 1966. On June 5, 1966, Connie was united in marriage to Michael Bennett in Kenmare, ND. Connie Evenson was born on April 17, 1948, a daughter of Warren and Sylvia (Westlake) Evenson in Kenmare, ND. She was raised and educated in Kenmare, graduating from Kenmare High School in 1966. On June 5, 1966, Connie was united in marriage to Michael Bennett in Kenmare, ND. They made their home at Camp Pendleton, CA where Michael was serving with the United States Marine Corps. Upon his discharge, the family returned to Kenmare, in January of 1969. They had three sons, Casey born in 1968, Christopher born in 1969 and Corey born in 1971. Connie was a homemaker as the boys were growing up and in 1996, graduated from Minot State University with a Bachelors of Science in English. She then worked as a substitute teacher. Connie enjoyed traveling, visiting New York, Spain, and Japan to visit her children, listening to classical music, studying history and reading with her book club. Connie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Curtis Evenson.
