"Connie" Miller, 87, of Waterloo, died at Allen Memorial Hospital Thursday morning, April 15, 2010. She was born May 10, 1922 in Sheffield, the daughter of Harold and Esther Mae Queen Persons. She worked as the manager of the Hitchin' Post Restaurant. She also worked at Earle May's and was a waitress for several other restaurants. Connie married Willis K. Miller on February 7, 1953 in Waterloo. She is survived by her husband; one brother, Robert (Karen) Persons of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Janice of Texas and Joanne of Iowa Falls; two daughters-in-law, Wanda of Kingsville, TX and Connie of Lebanon, MO; and a special nephew, Mark Persons of Georgia; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Donald; two brothers, Harold Persons, Jr. and Donald Persons. There will be no services, her body has been cremated. Those who wish may direct memorials to the family. The Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball is in charge of arrangements. (Ref 594)
