Description	:	Janice Evelyn Taylor passed away at home in Denton, TX on May 14, 2010 from liver cancer at the age of 75. She was born in Steamboat Rock, Iowa to Harold Otto Persons, Sr. and Esther May Queen Persons. She was a Cheerleader during her High School years and earned her Letterman Sweater which she still had at the time of her death. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1983 from Elmhurst College. Read More	Janice Evelyn Taylor passed away at home in Denton, TX on May 14, 2010 from liver cancer at the age of 75. She was born in Steamboat Rock, Iowa to Harold Otto Persons, Sr. and Esther May Queen Persons. She was a Cheerleader during her High School years and earned her Letterman Sweater which she still had at the time of her death. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1983 from Elmhurst College. Jan had a 24 year career with Dearborn Chemical/WR Grace as Manager of Employee Benefits and retired in 2000. She was involved in many organizations such as "PTA" which she was President, "Save Our Troops", "DAR", "Red Hats" and "Kiwanis", which she was made a Distinguished Member. Jan was fun loving and adventurous. She went on many trips with her sister, Jo aka "Es", and her many friends visiting England, France, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Canada and through out the States. She loved to bowl and play games, especially Rummikub and Skip-Bo. She will be deeply missed by many. Jan is survived by her children, Janal Marie Bennett of Lewisville, TX, Jodel Mae Kerkera of Carrollton, TX, Terrance Nelson Taylor, II of Nashville, TN and Genevieve Erica Rivett of Prosper, TX. Her four grandchildren, Kelly Ann Smith of North Hollywood, CA, Sarah Marie Minasian of Lewisville, TX, Timothy Dale Bennett and Emeline Rose Bennett of Lewisville, TX. Sister, Esther Joanne Persons of Iowa Falls, IA and brother, Robert Dale Persons of Hiawatha, IA. Eight specially loved nieces and nephews. She has one great-grandson to be born in June. Jan is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Esther Persons. Her brothers Harold Otto Persons, Jr. and Donald Duane Persons. Nephews Michael Alan Miller and Donald Linn Miller. And recently her sister Constance Maxine Miller. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 at 1:00pm at Argyle United Methodist Church, 9033 Fort Worth Drive, Argyle, TX 76226. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the "American Cancer Society" noted specifically for "Endowment In Memory of Janice Evelyn Persons Taylor for Liver Cancer Treatment" to benefit those having liver cancer treatment.
