Description	:	Cora Alice Fenton, daughter of T.K. and Martha Fenton was born near Brushy, June 17, 1875 and departed this life at the St. Joseph Hospital in Centerville February 20, 1957, at the age of 81 years, 8 months and three days. She was united in marriage to Manford S. Frost September 15, 1898 and to this union 7 children were born, 2 whom died in infancy and 1 daughter Floy Iris passed away in 1910 at the age of 1 year. Surviving to mourn her loss are her husband Manford, 3 daughters, Mrs. Ferna Hickle of Rock Island, Ill., Mrs. Ollie Overcash of Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Opal Truby of Davenport Ia., one son Joe Leo, at home, 9 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Henry Fenton of Ellston, Ia., and Elvira Fenton of Centerville and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters Sarah and Nancy who passed away quite young, Mrs. Nellie Herr, Mrs. Amy Owens, Mrs Mary Ann Moorman and 3 brothers, Joe, John, and William. While quite young she confessed her faith in Christ and joined the Brushy Baptist church and later transferred her membership to the Christian Church at North Bend and attended church services whenever possible. She was a loving wife and mother devoted to her family and home and will be greatly missed. The family moved to Mystic 25 years ago. Services were held at the Brushy church Friday Feb. 22, with Rev. Burton Simms in charge. she was laid to rest in the Brushy cemetery near her birthplace.
