Read More	Daughter of Philip & Elizabeth (York) Myers. ```````````````````` Rising City Independent (Rising City, Nebr., July 20, 1905, p. 2, col. 4 Obituary Cora Angeline Lemon was born in Akron, Ohio, June 24, 1851, and departed this life, at Prairie Home, Nebraska, July 14, 1905, aged 54 years and 20 days. In 1864 she moved with her parents to Indiana. She was united in marriage to James Lemon Sept. 12, 1869. In 1873 they moved to Nebraska which has been their home ever since. The husband, five sons - Irvin C., Orlanda A., Olin J., Clyde H., Ray D. - six brothers and two sisters remain to mourn their loss. When very young she united with the church and has always been a faithful, consistent member. For many years she labored under impaired health, but last winter under a severe attack she seemed to feel the nearness of the approaching end. She rallied from this attack to remain a few months, but spoke frequently of the future. Her faith became stronger and her fellowship with the Savior closer. She told of the sweetness of that peace which alone the Comforter can give. When the final summons came with a full assurance she lay down in the "Eternal Sleep" to "rest from her labors." She still lives in the memory of all who knew her and loved her as kind and true, as wife, mother, sister and friend. The funeral service was held at the M. E. church in Rising City on Tuesday, July 18, at 10 o'clock a.m., Rev. F. M. Esterbrook of Havelock, Nebr., preaching the sermon, assisted by Karl M. Hiller, her former pastor, and the remains were followed by relatives and many friends to its last resting place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Gone, but not forgotten, may be written on her monument, for she will live in the affection of her husband and stalwart sons who "rise up to call her blessed - her home was a Christian Home." The bereaved ones have the sympathy of many friends in their hour of deep sorrow. ___ Card of Thanks.
