Read More	YOUNG MOTHER DEATH'S VICTIM Mrs. Justus Floyd Is Called to Eternal Realms After a Brief Period of Illness Mrs. Justus Floyd, a popular young woman living northeast of Vinton, died at her home five miles from Vinton last Friday following an illness of less than two weeks. Eleven days before her death Mrs. Floyd became the mother of two pretty children-twins, and at first there was not a cloud in the sky to indicate approaching trouble, all was serene and fortune seemed to smile on the happy parents. But in the course of a few days complication began to appear and soon the sick woman's condition became disquieting. The beautiful character of the deceased and an account of her life and death is told in the following from the pen of one who was intimately acquainted with her. Mrs. Cora Belle Wyckoff, second daughter of R. E. and Lottie Wyckoff, was born Feb. 18, 1887, near Urbana, Benton county, Iowa and died at her home near Vinton, Iowa at 4:45 am Feb. 24, 1910, at the age of 23 years and 6 days. As a child Cora was always good and obedient, possessed of a sweet winning manner. During childhood she attended school near home and latter at Schrader Academy. By her good behavior and kind affectionate ways she greatly endeared herself to both teacher and schoolmates. On November 18th, 1903, he was united in marriage at Walker, Ia., to Justus D. Floyd. This was truly a union of hearts. They enjoyed a little over six years of a happy wedded life, during this time she shared her husbands cares and sorrows, as only a true loving and devoted wife can share. To this union five children were born, two sons and three daughters. the first born, little Mahlon Royal, passed to his heavenly reward Oct. 8th, 1907, at the early age of three years, then there are Lawrence, Evelyn and little twin daughters 11 days old. During her last illness she earnestly sought God and found ??? with Him as she smiling looked up into the faces of her loved ones and confidently declared "I am going to heaven, Glory to God." A good woman has passed to her reward. She will be greatly missed, not alone in the home circle, but in the entire community, as she was a great favorite and universally loved, always cheerful, kind, pleasant and smiling, ever ready to do a friendly act. She was a perfect true and devoted wife, leader, loving mother and a good neighbor. The home was a haven of peace, always filled with joy and happiness. She performed well and faithfully her every day. Now her life work is ended, but our loss is her eternal gain. She leaves to mourn her departure, a heart broken husband, four little children, father, mother, two brothers and two sisters, besides a host of surviving relatives and friends. the funeral services were held a the Prammers church on Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. G. G. Booton of Walker. The singing was rendered by a mixed quartet from Urbana. the pall bearers were old schoolmates. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. She was laid to rest in the Kisling cemetery south of Urbana, Ia.
