Description	:	Cora "Bee" (Lord) Lance, died at age 92 yrs 23 dys. Daughter of Cora Bell (Hoffman) and Horace Clair Lord, sister of H. C. Lord, half sister of Louise, Ruth, Bill, Ernie, Daniel, and Jack Kiger. At the age of 16 yrs 10 mos, Bee graduated from Pittsburg High, Pittsburg, Crawford County, KS. Bee married Albert Harold Lance and had three children. Their son Harry Allen Lance died, November 23, 2003, Memorial# 129372069. Albert and Bee enjoyed hunting, deer/pheasant/quail. Bee married Albert Harold Lance and had three children. Their son Harry Allen Lance died, November 23, 2003, Memorial# 129372069. Albert and Bee enjoyed hunting, deer/pheasant/quail. The family enjoyed camping/fishing/boating/swimming. Bee's hobbies thru the years were, sewing/candle making/textile painting/rock collecting/rock tumbling, and using her medal detector, to name a few. When the children were in school Bee was involved in school activities, Scouts, etc. and loved doing crafts with the children and later the grandchildren. Albert was a self-employed Plaster throughout their marriage and Bee was his Office Manager/Bookkeeper from 1938 thru 1977. Bee retired in 1986 as a homemaker for SRS. After her retirement she became active in the American Red Cross, cooking for those in need after disasters caused by Mother Nature across the US. She was an active member of the nearby Methodist church and was baptized on her 80th birthday. She was a member of the American Legion, the Avenue of Flags, and the 8 and 40. Bee's oldest daughter became interested in Family History in circa 1999, leading them both to becoming full fledged/die hard genealogists. Bee shared the family photo album from the early 1850's and her family stories of "Back in the day". They were still compiling information in the early part of 2013 before she passed in July. Bee was preceded in death by her parents and siblings and her first born grandchild Robert Gene Miller on, June 8, 2013. Memorial# 129296900; Survivors include 2 daughters, 7 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
