Eldon Haworth officiation. Miss Helen Bunker was the organist. Flower bearers were Mrs. Darwin Strickland and Mrs. Carl Stephens. Casket bearers were Darwin Strickland, Carl Stephens, Douglas Winter, Jim Stephens, Malcolm McCoy, and Ben Tomlinson. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery with Wolfe Funeral Home in charge. Cora Christina Beavers, daughter of Joseph Allen Beavers and Sena Elizabeth Rosengrant, was born August 12, 1882 at Clearfield, Iowa and passed away at Rosary Hospital, Corning, Iowa, April 12, 1971, at the age of 88 years. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, a brother, Bertie, a sister, Mrs. Ralph McCreight, and a beloved nephew, Allen Gassett. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Dalla Gassett of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends. Cora was a member of the United Methodist Church and a member of the Rebecca Lodge of Villisca where she was honored last summer with a 50 year membership pin.
