Born February 28, 1927, near Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Ira E. Hege and Martha (Eshleman) Hege. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wayne A. Eby. She was a member of the Flintstone Mennonite Church near Flintstone, MD. She is also survived by one daughter, Evelyn M. and husband, Nathan J. (Hege) Eby, 84, of Flintstone, MD., passed away peacefully on Monday, May 16, 2011, at her home. Born February 28, 1927, near Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Ira E. Hege and Martha (Eshleman) Hege. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wayne A. Eby. She was a member of the Flintstone Mennonite Church near Flintstone, MD. She is also survived by one daughter, Evelyn M. and husband, Nathan J. Petre of Canton, PA; four sons, Lester W. and wife Emma Ruth Eby of Colby, WI, Nevin I. and wife Carolyn Eby of Port Trevorton, PA, Delmar R. and wife Louise Eby of London, KY, and Arlin R. and wife Sandra Eby of Greencastle, PA. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter. Friends will be received at the Reiff Mennonite Church near Cearfoss, MD, on Friday, May 20, from 1 to 3 p.m. and at the Flintstone Mennonite Church from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the Flintstone Mennonite Church on Saturday, May 21, at 10 a.m. with James R. Petre officiating with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. The arrangements were handled by Hafer Chapel of the Hills.
