She was born Sept. 25, 1910 in Westminster, the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Rockhill Goldsmith. Miss Goldsmith was a homemaker . She was a member of the Lima Baptist Temple and attended the Elderly Daycare Center. Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Dick ( Pat) Altenburger of Russells Point; four sisters, Dottie Goldsmith, Jennie Scott, and Ruth Heil of Lima, and Mildred Benchoff of Wadsworth; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.... Friends may call 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home Notes Aunt Blackie. Dark haired and complexion , plump , but boy did she love the men!!! Mother of Pat E.one of beautiful cousins we had. Blackie always had a boy friend and lots of gossip about the family and anybody else . Lived at the Goldmith farm and kept house for Bill Goldsmith. Sometimes she came to Lima and stayed with "the girls"Peanie and Dottie. She worked some, but never did much more than housework for rich people in the West-end of Lima. She outlived most of her sisters. Loved her grandkids by Pat,disliked her sons-in-law and was vocal about them! She is missed by all. Norita Shepherd Moss
