(COOK) YAKIMA HERALD-REPUBLIC YAKIMA WA AUGUST 30, 2000 "YAKIMA-Cora F. Larson, longtime valley resident died Friday, August 25th, 2000 in Yakima. Cora Frances Cook was born August 21, 1923, in Casper, Wyoming to Amos and Mary Cook. In 1939 Cora married Harold Larson. She and Harold were a team working side by side for 53 years. They particularly enjoyed working with horses. Cora and Harold had one son, Harold Emery, and three daughters, Anita, Lillian and Judy. She is survived by two daughters, Anita Evans of Yakima and Judy Larson Dahl of Selah, five grandchildren, Laura Henson, Sherry Newman, Melinda Evans, Janelle Evans and Charles McBride, thirteen great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Cora was a gracious and loving person with a strong faith. She taught Sunday School at Sunnyside Christian Church. She was a member of Englewood Christian Church and loved her church family dearly. Cora was the epitome of grace and had a aura of love and caring. Cora was one with the beauty of nature which surrounded her. Not only did Cora love her creator, she truly loved his creations. Cora was a devoted wife and mother. She was very proud of her Cook heritage and always enjoyed the yearly reunions. Mama, you were the light of our lives. Family and friends may call at the Zillah Chapel of Valley Hills Funeral Home on Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 29th and 30th from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Graveside Funeral Services will be held Thursday, Aug.31 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sunnyside Cemetery, under the direction of Valley Hills Funeral Home, Zillah."
