Description	:	Cora lola Beck 1976 Bridgewater Bulletin Cora Iola beck, widow of Ananias Beck of Upper Branch, entered the church triumphant early Friday morning, July 9, 1976. Mrs. Beck died at the D.M. Hospital and was in failing health for some time. She was known for her cheerful attitude and her strong Christian gratitude during her life and illness. Read More	Cora lola Beck 1976 Bridgewater Bulletin Cora Iola beck, widow of Ananias Beck of Upper Branch, entered the church triumphant early Friday morning, July 9, 1976. Mrs. Beck died at the D.M. Hospital and was in failing health for some time. She was known for her cheerful attitude and her strong Christian gratitude during her life and illness. She was a devoted member of the New Canada Baptist Church. Born at Upper Branch December 27, 1895, she was the daughter of the late Silaas and Bessie (Conrad) Meldrum. Surviving are four sons: Arnold, at home; Cecil, Newcombville; Elmer, Bridgewater; Milton, Dayspring; one daughter, Sylvia (Mrs. Calvin Garber), Dayspring; four grandchildren, Elmer, Sheila, Jacqueline, and Gale; one great-grandchild, Jeffery; one brother, Warren, Upper Branch. She was predeceased by her husband in 1937. Funeral service was held in the church at Upper Branch on Sunday afternoon, July 11. A large congregation filled the church for the service which was conducted by her pastor, Rev. Robert Baker. Hymns sung by the choir, directed by Mrs. Harris Cook, were "Abide With Me" and "My Saviour First of All" and a solo, "When You Walk the Last Mile of the Way" rendered by Mrs. Robert Baker. Interment was in the family plot, Upper Branch Cemetery.
