Description	:	Cora was the oldest of 10 children born to Teunis and Dena (Zeutenhorst) Jansen. Cora attended school through 8th grade, she loved school and it was her wish to continue her education but family duties called. She was a champion speller. On January 7-1938 she married Arend Broek. They worked alongside each other farming for 30 years. They moved to Sioux Center Iowa in 1966. Cora began working at Dordt College cleaning dorm rooms. Read More	Cora was the oldest of 10 children born to Teunis and Dena (Zeutenhorst) Jansen. Cora attended school through 8th grade, she loved school and it was her wish to continue her education but family duties called. She was a champion speller. On January 7-1938 she married Arend Broek. They worked alongside each other farming for 30 years. They moved to Sioux Center Iowa in 1966. Cora began working at Dordt College cleaning dorm rooms. She also cooked Sunday dinner for her ever growing family ever week. Her son-in-law say she could well have won the "Best Gravy Maker" Award. Arend and Cora enjoyed wintering in Arizona for many years. She enjoyed playing games with friends, traveling, quilting and crocheting. Last year she gifted her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren over 100 hanger covers which she crocheted. In 2000, Cora moved to Crown Point. She treasured the relationships formed with other residents and her care givers. As Cora's body grew weaker, she use her time to pray for her family. We are extremely grateful for her Legacy. Survived by: Rich and Janet Rens, Joan and Paul Dekker, Arlene and Stan Van Otterloo, Linda and Wil Van Engen, Marianne, and Jim Sjaarda, 15 grandchildren 40 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren Siblings: Cornie and Anna Jansen Miny and Willis Uittenbogaard, Bernice De Vos, Mureil and Stan Van Otterloo, Harriet and Eldon Tesch, Gordy and John Miltenberger, Thelma and Ron Van Zee, Sister-in-law Gert Jansen, Gert Broek, Berdie Broek, Chris Schouten. Preceded in death by parents, husband, daughter Lori Rens, 2 grandsons, on grandson in law. one great granddaughter, brother Ed Jansen, sister, Gerdena Jansen, sister Ann and Art Kamerman, brother in law Irv De Vos Many inlaws.
