Cordelia was born February 05, 1910, in Raleigh, the daughter of Rochus and Mary Anna (Steiert) Ternes. She was raised and educated in the Raleigh area and married Dayo Loeb on November 22, 1927, in Raleigh. Before moving to their own farm, they lived on his parents' farm for seven years. Dayo died in 1959. Cordelia continued to live on the farm until 1972, when she moved to Mandan. Cordelia enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, quilting with the Lutheran Ladies, old time music and dancing. She is survived by her children, Maynard, Redwood City, California, Edwin and his wife Esther, Redding, California, Harlin F. and his wife Lorie, Abraham W. and his wife Sheila, Jim J. and his wife Mary Jo and Louis and his wife Brenda, all of Gresham, Oregon, Ted and Thomas and his wife Rose, all of Portland, Oregon, Lovina Skjolsvik, Fort Worth, Texas, and Roberta Loeb, Kalama, Washington; 29 grandchildren; 35 greaat grandchildren; her brothers, Bernard Ternes and his wife Anna and Peter Ternes, all of Bismarck; her sister, Zina Bachmeier, Mandan; and her special friends and caregivers, Jeanette and Roy Friesz. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; six brothers, Ed, Anselm, Anton, Philip, Mike and Zachius; and four sisters, Emma Loeb, Rufina Loeb, Aurora Koch, and Verna Kopp. Memorials preffered to the Cancer Society or the Heart Fund.
