Description	:	From Obit Conservative February, 1983 Last rites for George Wensel Drager, 89, will be today February 9, at the Sheets and Son Funeral Home with the Revs. Richard Smith, Tipton and Bruce Williams, Iowa City, officiating. Burial will be in Masonic cemetery. Pallbearers are Robert, Donald and Dennis Drager, Dwayne Drager Jr., Rodney Schwitzer and Harold Barrett. Honorary pallbearers are Walt Fankhauser, Harold Ford, Bill Ziba and Charles Thumm, VFW Post and George Thordsen, Verlon Weaver and Dick Moon, American Legion Post. Anita Drager is organist. Military services at the grave will be by the VFW and the American Legion. Mr. Drager died at Veterans Hospital, Iowa City, February 6. The son of William and Angus Muskevitch Drager, he was born at New London, Wisconsin, February 23, 1893 and was married to Martha Behrens at Lowden February 11, 1920. He retired from farming in 1946, moving to Tipton. He served as bailiff of the Cedar County District Court and was chairman of the Soldier's relief commission for many years. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of Tipton VFW 2537 and the Garey-Whalen post of the American Legion #123. He is survived by his wife; a daughter,, Mrs.Ray (Duetta) Schwitzer and a son, Dwayne Sr., Tipton; 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Josephine) Weber, Oshkosh, Wi. and a brother, Harry B, ElMonte, California. He was preceded in death by a sister and 4 brothers.
