Born in Riverport, he was a son of the late Artemas and Ida (Nowe) Zinck. He retired after working 35 years with the Canadian National Railway. He was a member of Trinity United Church, Rose Bay. He is survived by his wife, the former Violet Coolen; five daughters, Carole-Ann (Mrs. Lamont Mosher), Kingsburg; Jean Marie (Mrs. Earl Smicer), Lunenburg; Mary Violet (Mrs. Timothy Gates) and Barbara Mae (Mrs. John Cook), both of Riverport; a son, Allison, Upper LaHave; a sister, Mrs. Jean Wentzell, Riverport; 13 grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters, Ethel, Ellen, and Amanda; four brothers, Arthur, Allister, Lemuel, and Jonathan. The body is in Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg. Visiting will be 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Trinity United Church, Rose Bay, Rev. Harry Whitehorn officiating. Burial will be in Shepherd's Hill Cemetery, Riverport. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society or any charity. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
