Teter, son of Andrew and Emily Teter was born at Salem, Iowa, Sept. 12, 1862, died at his home two miles west of Hillsboro, Nov. 22, 1910, aged 48 years, 2 months and 10 days. On Jan. 24, 1887, he was united in marriage to Mina Proper, and to this union were born six children, two only of whom are living. They are Birdie L. and Clarence H. The others all died in infancy. Teter, son of Andrew and Emily Teter was born at Salem, Iowa, Sept. 12, 1862, died at his home two miles west of Hillsboro, Nov. 22, 1910, aged 48 years, 2 months and 10 days. On Jan. 24, 1887, he was united in marriage to Mina Proper, and to this union were born six children, two only of whom are living. They are Birdie L. and Clarence H. The others all died in infancy. The wife and mother died in April 1897. Mr. Teter was again married, this time to Miss Evelyn Drew. Four happy children came to bless this union, three girls and one boy. But again death visited the home. This time taking little 5 year old Hazel, who died October 22, 1909. The three living are Charley aged 11, Marie 8 and Irene 3. Brother Teter professed faith in Christ 21 years ago, and at that time became a member of the Harrisburg Baptist church. He transferred his membership to the Free Baptist church of Hillsboro, where he lived a faithful and consistent Christian until the time of his death. He leaves, besides the widow, five children, aged father, two brothers, Chas. A. and Clyde of Lawrence, Kansas, a sister Mrs. Dell Medows, of Los Angeles, Cal., two uncles and a large number of cousins and other relatives. He was cut down at a time when it would seem his life was most useful and most needed. Death came to him after five years of intense suffering and a brave and patient struggle to shake off a lingering and most dreaded disease. With the excepting of one year in Arkansas and two in Lawrence, Kansas, Mr. Teter has spent his entire life in the vicinity of his birth. The bereaved family have the deep sympathy of the entire community. The funeral services were conducted from the home Friday Nov. 25th at 10 o'clock a.m. Rev. Jonathan E. Lee, of Ottumwa, and Rev. C.
