Born August 18th, 1930, he was the son of the Late Cuthbert I.L. Fenwick and Hilda L. Martin Fenwick of Hanover Farm, Leonardtown, MD. He is survived by his wife of fifty years Jean Ennis Fenwick whom he married June 12, 1954 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Short Hills, N.J. officiated by his uncle the Reverend E. D. Fenwick O.P. He is survived by his brothers, Norbert M. Fenwick of Reisterstown, MD, Dr. John F. Fenwick, of Leonardtown, MD and one sister, Hilda L. "Dolly" Woodburn of Owings, MD. A daughter Claudia M. Fenwick, Bethesda, MD, one son Cuthbert I. L. Fenwick, III "Chip" and his wife Arlene of St. Mary's County and three grandchildren Summer, Alyssa, and Kathleen Fenwick. He was preceded in death by his youngest brother, James Baron Fenwick. Cuthbert was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy, Leonardtown, MD and graduated ?cumlaud? from Mount Saint Mary's College in Emmitsburg, MD in 1952. He served in the U. S. Navy three years when he was honorably discharged. He was president of Fenwick Motors, Inc., Leonardtown, MD, and owner of "The Willows" restaurant property from 1968-1995. He was Past Grand Knight and Fourth Degree member of Knights of Columbus # 1470, Leonardtown, MD, Leonardtown, MD, Past president of the Lexington Park Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Recipient. He gave many years of dedicated service to St. Mary's County Parks and Recreation, to St. Mary?s County International Oyster Festivals, to the Chamber of Commerce, Charity Ball and others. These gave him great pleasure as did his love of family and friends gathered at their homes. He enjoyed music, dancing and theater, sports, his gardens and peach orchard, his church, travels here and abroad, the mountains and nature. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated June 3, 2005 at 12:00 noon in Our Lady's Church, Medleys Neck, Leonardtown, MD. The Reverend John Barry, pastor of the church, will be the celebrant.
