Anderton Daisy Elizabeth Perkins was born in Sheridan Missouri, March 21, 1877, and passed from this life March 3, 1943, at the age of 65 yeas, 11 months and 12 days. She moved to Edgar with her parents at the age of two years. Here she met and was united in marriage to Frank Anderton December 30, 1899. Mr. Anderton preceded her in death March 2, 1937. She was an active member of the local Church of Christ until her recent illness which resulted in her sudden death. She leaves to mourn her passing three sisters, Mrs. Gertie Amind and Mrs. Massie Cook of Des Moines, Iowa, and Mrs. Olive Moyer of Garwin, Iowa; three brothers, Elmer, Harry and William Perkins, all of Des Moines, Iowa, also her daughter Mrs. Dorothy Due of Edgar, besides other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held from the home in Edgar, Nebraska, March 6. 1943, at 10:30 a.m. Roy A. Coop and Dale A. Williamson were in charge. Miss Wilma Edwards of Clay Center sang two solos, "What a Friend" and "Sweet Bye and Bye." Mrs. F. W. Hockman accompanied her. Pallbearers were: D. A. Jackson, E. L. Smock, O. R. Rhoads, Roy Cline, Floyd Powell and Floyd Cox. Those in charge of the flowers were: Mrs. Floyd Powell, Mrs. Geo. Ivins, Mrs. Dora Caldwell and Mrs. Verta McKinley.
