Read More	The Edgar Sun (Edgar, NE) Fri, Mar 12, 1937 - pg. 1 Frank Anderton Benjamin Franklin Anderton, son of Benjamin and Susan Anderton, was born in McCoupin County, Illinois, June 4, 1871 and passed away at his home in Edgar, Nebraska on March 2, 1937 at the age of 65 years, 8 months and 28 days. In 1886 he came with his parents to Edgar and with the exception of short periods, has lived in Edgar ever since. On December 30, 1899, he was united in marriage to Daisy Elizabeth Perkins who, with a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Due, remain to mourn his passing. He is also survived by two brothers and three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Jones, Grand Island, Nebraska; Mrs. Kate Pahl, San Bruno California; Mrs. Carrie Eby, Salem, Oregon; James R. Anderton, Los Angeles, California and William T. Anderton, Edgar, Nebraska and a host of other relatives and friends. His parents and three brothers, Edward, Samuel and Charles preceded him in death. He was a member of the Edgar Volunteer Fire Department for many years and always took an active interest in the affairs of the company. In his many years of carpenter work, he has left his mark on many of the developments and improvements of the community and has made many friends who will miss him greatly. Funeral services were conducted at the home Saturday, March 6 at 10:00 a.m.. by Rev Cecil V. Smith. Mrs. Walter Jacobsen and Mrs. Frederick Hockman sang "Abide With Me" and "Does Jesus Care?" The pallbearers were L. B. Dalton, Louis Lehms, Roy Shipley, Roy Cline, Harry Grossman, C. H. Merrill, E. L. Smock and Harry Young. Interment was in the Edgar Cemetery.
