Read More	Dale Herman Petersen, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2017 at the age of 86 at the Avalon Health & Rehabilitation Center, Pasco, WA. Dale lived most of his life in Twin Falls, Idaho, and several years in Washington State. Dale was born on October 13, 1930 in Pierce, Pierce County, Nebraska to Louie (Ludvig) Rudolph and Opal Belle (Timperley) Petersen. His family moved to Twin Falls, Idaho when he was a young child. He completed his schooling there and then went to work on a cattle and sheep ranch in the Three Creek, Idaho area. He and his older brother Glen loved this remote part of Idaho. He enjoyed working with horses. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and served at various posts in Germany in the Military Police. After his discharge, he returned to Twin Falls, Idaho. He married Charlene Lenora Brandon on April 25, 1953, in Buhl, Twin Falls County, Idaho. They lived in Murtaugh, Idaho where Dale worked on the Uhlig Ranch with his brother Glen. In 1967 Dale moved his family to Sunnyside, Washington where he farmed and ranched with his brothers. In 1978 Dale, Charlene and Roy moved to Sprague, Washington where he was the foreman for the Fox Milling Ranch and later they moved to Spokane, Washington continuing to work for Fox Milling Feed Mill. Their youngest son Roy passed away in 1987 from a seizure. After the feed mill closed Dale and Charlene moved to Pasco, Washington. Charlene passed away from cancer in June 1993 and Dale retired. He then moved back to Twin Falls, Idaho where he married Darlene Sievers on April 16, 1994. They enjoyed several years together. Darlene passed away on August 29th, 2008. Dale enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, telling stories, reading a good western and visiting with people. He was always thoughtful of others and liked helping when he could. He was preceded in death by his parents, elder brothers – Clarence, Vern and Glen; and his wife Charlene and wife Darlene and youngest son Roy Keith Petersen. He is survived by his younger brothers Byron (Ruth) of Yakima, Washington and Fred (Gloria) of Colville, Washington. He is also survived by his sons Wade (Macel) of Pendleton, Oregon; Stuart (Carmen) of Yakima, Washington; Harlan (Dee) of Goose Prairie, Washington; and Ryan (Julie) of Pasco, Washington. He has 14 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday the 29th of September at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, 7800 Van Belle Rd, Sunnyside, WA.
