He died 16 March 2020 in Saint Paul. He is to be cremated and services will take place at another time. He will eventually rest next to his wife, Pat in Elmwood Cemetery. Dale grew up and attend school in Saint Paul, graduating from Saint Paul High School. Dale worked for a time as a mail carrier in Saint Paul, but his true passion was music. Throughout his life he played in a number of bands, including most recently the Friends Czech Band. On 5 September 1959 Dale opened the Dale Matousek Music Shop on Howard Ave. in Saint Paul, offering instruments and piano tuning. Dale was also known for his piano restoration. Dale was married to Patrica "Pat" Rohatsch 22 April 1961 at Columbus, NE. The couple spent their entire married live in or near Saint Paul. Pat preceded Dale in death 13 August 1997. They had no children. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Pat. Dale is survived by nephews Andrew and wife Kathy Cynova, Gary and his wife Kay Cynova, a number of Rohatsch connected nieces and nephews, as well as a number of very close friends in the Saint Paul area. We will miss you Uncle Dale.
