Emily was born in 1817 in Buckingham, Virginia and was a descendant of Robert Coleman, gg-grandfather to Emily Jane's father Drury Coleman. John A. Dillon) with wife Catharine. Six Children are listed: Elizabeth, Sarah, Jane, Thomas, George and Susan. 1850 CENSUS RIPLEY COUNTY, RIPLEY, MISSOURI James T. Dillon family is found on the 1850 census for Ripley county, Ripley, Missouri. Listed are James T. age 37; wife Emily J., age 33; John A., age 13; James R., age 9; Wm W., age 7; Dillon (Drury) age 6; and Nancy Anne Dillon, age 2. There were two more children born later: S.F. Dillon born 1851 Arkansas (female) and Emily Jane Dillon born 1855, Ripley, Missouri. James T. died after around 1856 in Ripley Co., Missouri. His widow Emily Jane remarried Bennet Hargrove and is found on the 1860 Ripley Census with William, Nancy, S.F., and Emily Jane. I believe she died there in Washington township, Ripley Co., Missouri about 1861. I have not located the graves of James T. Dillon and Emily Jane (Coleman) Dillon Hargrove yet. A few farms down from James is John R. Dillen, age 30 (Dillon) with wife Marinda B., age 27 and child B.F. Dillen, a male, age 6. I'm guessing James and John are brothers. I am attempting to get up this Dillon line, above James T. Dillon in Tennessee.
